Hi, I’m Coco and I’m from Newcastle, NSW. I went to Space Camp in October 2019 and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever done. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always dreamed of being an astronaut, but I had no idea of how to get there. Signing up for Space Camp was the most amazing first step, and I will always recommend it to anyone who is even vaguely interested in space or STEM.
Space Camp taught me about all the possible ways there are to get into the space sector, and the opportunities I’ve had in my time as an ambassador so far have blown my mind.
Spending time with the One Giant Leap team in America made me feel like I was a part of something bigger. Everybody on the trip was there because they were passionate, and wanted to get something out of it.
I am passionate about exploring, not only into deep space but anything I can – I recently got my SCUBA license, something that was inspired by Space Camp! My advice to you – take any and all the opportunities you can. You never know where they might lead you and when you might find something you love!
