Take part in an online virtual space mission from former NASA astronaut, Dr Gregory Chamitoff!
The program is part of Space Teams Academy which was designed and developed by former NASA Astronaut, Dr Gregory Chamitoff.
You will be able to apply what you learned with simulations to design a mission to another planet within our solar system. You will receive daily mission training from space professionals and will include a one-hour live tutorial with an expert on the day’s topic. Guidance will then be given on how to complete corresponding simulation activities including:

The challenge activities will be online from Sat, 5 October – Thu, 10 October 2024 (10am-2pm AEST).
The Global Space Challenge is a 6-day program. To be eligible for the scholarship, participants must be an Australian student 11 years and up who are currently enrolled in an education institution or home schooling.
Application process:
Students must complete the official submission form and tell us why they should be selected and a letter from their parent/guardian that supports their application. The deadline for applications is 27th of September at 11:59pm. Successful applicants will be notified by the 30th of September.
