Hi, my name is Suzana and recently I got to attend Space Camp 2019 with the help of One Giant Leap.
Before this amazing trip, I had absolutely no idea which career path in life I wanted to walk, however, this trip brought forward many opportunities to me such as being able to write my very first official magazine article! This was only possible after I talked to one of the scientists who mentioned that Science Communicator was a possible career I could pursue.
The trip really pushed me beyond my comfort zone and made me realize that being brave is a big part of making the most out of the opportunities I received. From Disneyland rides to team-building missions where we were under pressure from all the anomalies! It brought me closer to the people around me as well as taught me the importance of being in a team.
I will never forget the memories and lessons I have learned from this trip and I encourage anyone who’s interested in STEM, Space and honestly anyone who’s interested in learning to push themselves and make the most of their opportunities!
