Welcome Cosmic Girls!

At One Giant Leap Australia Foundation, we are excited to get to know you and have you join our 2024 Global Space Challenge during World Space Week, 5 – 10 October!

Take part in an online virtual space mission from former NASA astronaut, Dr Gregory Chamitoff! We are looking for young space explorers aged 14 and 15 years old.

During this mission you will:

  • Conduct virtual space missions
  • Learn from astronauts, engineers and scientists
  • Design spacecraft and fly to other worlds
  • Build a sustainable habitat using local resources
  • Experience spacewalking and explore planets
  • Compete for the best mission design

We are offering places for two teams of 4 from the Cosmic Girls program to join the Global Space Challenge.

How to enter

Introduce yourself and tell us what do you like about space- are you interested in what is being researched about the Moon? Do you watch every SpaceX launch? Obsessed with astronomy? Super into Star Wars, Star Trek or Doctor Who?

Send us a short 2 min video telling us why YOU want to be a part of the mission and about your interest in space!
