When I attended the One Giant Leap Australia USA Tour in 2019, I had so many amazing challenges and experiences. One of those was to try scuba diving. I was super keen to start scuba after I got back home. I love it as much as I thought I would.
I wanted to get an open water divers’ licence so I signed up for, and completed the three day training course, which required around 7 hours in the water each day. I got my licence on the very first day of the year. Since then, I have been on dives where I have seen sharks, cuttlefish, octopi and sting rays. Diving has become one of my favourite things to do when I have a spare weekend and I am really glad I got the chance to realise how much I loved it when I was at Space Camp.
Probably the most challenging thing about it was having to completely take off my mask 15 metres underwater and put it back on after 60 seconds. I found that to be a major test but other than that, I love it so much and would recommend it to anyone with a sense of adventure.
